Best Practice Productions

Best Practice Productions (BPP) delivers high quality and economical digital media education for professional associations, education organisations and companies throughout Australia.

One of our core activities is providing in-house support for events run by the ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development (CPD) and external companies hiring the facilities for their own courses. This support is delivered through a full range of educational audio visual services, including live demonstrations. Our services centre on the Clinical Training Centre’s (CTC) Master Surgery.

The Master Surgery is equipped with a three camera production system. Two cameras are operated robotically to capture superb intra-oral images during clinical procedures. A third camera provides a wider image to show the clinical team and equipment used during procedures. These images are ‘mixed’ live, similar to vision you would see when watching a live sporting event on TV, to provide the best views possible. During live demonstrations course participants can interact with the clinician through a two way communications system from the CTC Training Room, in the lecture room, or both.

Recording of live demonstrations is done by remotely triggering a computer workstation from inside the Master Surgery. BPP’s technical studio provides comprehensive post production capabilities, which also serves for recording audio interviews. Recorded materials are edited and encoded for delivery by CD, DVD as well as for online and mobile media applications.

BPP is available to support groups hiring the training centre, or those wishing to produce their own educational materials. A recording of a live demonstration during a course can be easily converted into educational media, allowing for the demonstration to reach a much wider audience.
