Australian Dental Association - CPD

Imaging services

In conjunction with CanadaBay Imaging, ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development (CPD) have launched an imaging service offering both Cone Beam 3D CT and 2D OPG scans.

This important service is available to all dental practitioners for referral of patients. Please note that it is not necessary to be a specialist in order to refer for Cone Beam CT imaging. All registered dentists can refer their patients for imaging services.

Referral forms can be requested from CPD or downloaded here: CanadaBay referral form.

For those not familiar with Cone Beam Volumetric Tomography (CBVT), this imaging technology is applicable in a broad range of situations, reducing the patient radiation dose by between 60-80 percent when compared to conventional CT scans and providing high quality and informative images. All scans provide you with a clear assessment of your patient as they are reported by Oral Surgeons, with ENT pathology reported by an ENT surgeon.
