Mastering Clinical Photography - Twenty Reasons to Take Clinical
Photographs
Presented by Dr Peter Sheridan
Photographs are an essential part of record keeping, risk management,
education and practice marketing in 21st century dentistry.
Clinical photography is not just about beautiful white teeth or cosmetic
artistry. By utilising modern digital technology every dentist can
chronicle what they see in the mouth. X-rays, written notes, and study
models often fall short in depicting the true nature of clinical status.
X-rays do not show failing restorations, crack lines and wear patterns
on the surface of teeth; notes cannot always clearly indicate the
sequence of events in a clinical session; study models poorly represent
the restored nature of teeth and the health of soft tissues.
People easily comprehend visual data and this course will show how
instant quality images can dramatically improve patient understanding
and acceptance of treatment recommendations. The benefits of clinical
photography in dentistry can be rewarding both professionally and
financially. This course will be an invaluable experience for general
dentists and specialists, the skills and knowledge acquired easily
integrated into any type of dental practice and useful for general
photography as well.
Topics include
- Images for patient education…’I want you to see what I
see’
