Broome is world-famous for its magnificent sunsets and multicultural attractions. You can tour a pearl farm, browse the many world-class pearl jewellery studios and art galleries in Chinatown, see a movie at the world’s oldest outdoor picture gardens and if you’re lucky see the “staircase to the moon”.
Our presenter panel will provide you with the latest and most relevant information in a relaxed environment, encouraging constructive discussion amongst colleagues.

Adj. Associate Professor Richard Chan
Richard is a graduate of the University of Sydney and has published in international and Australian journals and has lectured extensively on restorative and implant dentistry in Australia and internationally. He is coordinator for several implant training courses for Continuing Education and the Graduate Diploma in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney (1999 to 2007). Richard maintains a multi-disciplinary referral practice in Sydney limited to implant surgery and prosthodontics.

Dr Lydia Lim
Lydia is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and currently in private practice in Chatswood, Sydney. She is a graduate of the University of Sydney then obtained her Masters in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the specialist qualification FRACDS (OMS). Lydia then furthered her surgical training in the United States and was a Clinical Fellow at University of Texas, Houston. She currently holds various hospital appointments and has been involved in post-graduate teaching at the University of Sydney. Lydia has a special interest in orthognathic surgery, dental implants and bone grafting.

Dr Nicholas Hocking
Nicholas completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Adelaide University before moving to London where he acquired his first Masters Degree in Conservative Dentistry and a second Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics). He works in private practice on Sydney’s Macquarie St, and lectures for the University of Sydney, and the Department of Continuing Education, Sydney University.

Program

This program has been designed so delegates can have the afternoon free to explore Broome and its surroundings. Feel free to select from the optional tours we have provided or just relax and soak up the sun on the famous Cable Beach. Each session includes a half hour break for morning tea with lunch provided at 12.30pm each day.

The Welcome Drinks and Themed Dinner are included in your registration fee. Partners are very welcome for an additional fee.

Tuesday 3 August: 6.30pm – 8.00pm Welcome Drinks, Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa
Join us for drinks and canapés on a beautiful balmy Broome evening.

Thursday 5 August: 7.00pm – 10.30pm Themed Dinner, Pearl Luggers in Chinatown
Enjoy an evening under the stars, by the sails of two historic pearling vessels.

Wednesday 4 August: 2.00pm – 6.00pm Broome in Depth – Discover the real Broome!

Visit Cable Beach, Gantheaume Point, Anastasia’s Pool, Hovercraft Base, Japanese Cemetery, The Broome Factory, Town Beach, Monsoon Gallery, Matso’s Brewery for beer tasting, Chinatown and Sun Pictures. $90 inc GST per person.

Wednesday 4 August: 2.00pm – 6.30pm
Intombi – Broome’s Pearling Lugger Experience
Experience the “Intombi” as is sails across pristine waters, view the magnificent sunset from Broome’s oldest Pearling Lugger. $129 inc GST per person (max. of 20 people).

Thursday 5 August: 4.30pm – 5.30pm approx. Sunset Camel Ride
Enjoy a relaxing and informative one hour journey along the beautiful white sands of Cable Beach as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean. $60 inc GST per person (max. 32 people).

Please enquire with CPD for special group rates at the Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa. August is peak season for Broome, so book your accommodation in advance to avoid disappointment.
Flights
Delegates are responsible for making their own arrangements to Broome. Qantas will be flying directly to Broome from August 2010, visit their website for details. Virgin Blue also have flights to Broome.
