Inclusion criteria

Entry to the Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology will be through an expression of interest and written application.
The following selection criteria will be used to assess applicants via the written application and interview.

  1. Registered as a Dental Surgeon in an Australian State or Territory
  2. Have at least two (2) years post graduation clinical experience
  3. Demonstrate an interest in the use of dental implants
  4. Discussion of previous restorative case experience

Modules will be held at the ADA NSW Clinical Training Centre in St Leonards, Sydney NSW. Some course laboratory work will also be conducted in the Sydney CBD area.

Objective

This 18 month part-time program should enable participants to become confident in the incorporation of dental implant supported
prostheses in general dental practice through instruction and practice of placement and restoration of dental implants.

Assessment

Assessment will be based on assignments (between each block visit), presentation of completed cases and passing of a final examination for each subject.

The diploma will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course, assignments, practical work and examinations. If a participant does not successfully complete one or more components of the course, a Certificate of Attendance for that subject will be awarded.
