Effective Dental Practice Marketing

How not to waste money on things that don’t work

Marketing is big business. So is advertising, but they are not the same. Much of both ignore commercial reality and each has a very high opportunity cost.

Most of what dentists do in marketing is based on feel good moments - very little is done in promoting appropriate understanding of the market and the desired results. Marketing for marketing’s sake is expensive and often counter productive.

Relationship Marketing is the way that dental practices grow and expand. Quietly building long-term relationships and using marketing plans and advertising for specific reasons and goals does work.

Having patients buy your services or selling your business is all the same process. Plan it, understand it and you can make your practice marketable on many levels.

Topics include

  • Who is your market?
  • What is the media for advertising?
  • How can we make it cost effective?
  • Realities of selling your practice
  • What are your services and your practice worth?
