Exploring the Science in DentistryPresented by Dr Oliver HassDuring this evening lecture program Dr Hass will be exploring the “science in dentistry” and will be discussing a range of topics. In the last few years new concepts for highly aesthetic restorations have been introduced into the market. The advantages and disadvantages on how they affect the treatment protocol will be discussed. This lecture will also give you an overview on the chemistry behind adhesion. Dr Hass will also focus on post endodontic treatment and the different post systems: active and passive posts made of metal, zirconia or reinforced composite based posts (carbon-fibre, glass-fibre or quartz-fibre) What are the advantages and disadvantages of the different systems? For full details, please refer to the information on the right. About the presenterDr Oliver Hass studied chemistry at the Oldenburg University (Germany) and was awarded his diploma in 2001. He gained his Ph.D. in 2006 for his work in the field of Supramolecular Chemistry (summa cum laude). From 2006 to 2008 he worked as researcher and lecturer at the Kassel University where he was member of the Center for Interdisciplinary Nanostructure Science and Technology. In 2008 he joined VOCO. Attendance at this courses may assist with the
assessment in the MRACDS examination. The RACDS does not endorse
